Two ways to buy, two payment paths
This category is the one exception to Black Saints Direct's wholesale-only model: individuals can buy directly, in bulk, with no reseller account. The sections below cover each path.
Buying directly (no reseller account)
A direct order is paid in full, at the price shown, right on the software category page — there is no separate wholesale cost and reseller markup to unbundle, because Black Saints is the seller of record for the whole transaction. Payment runs through Stripe on Black Saints' own account.
Buying as a wholesale reseller
An end customer checks out on the partner's own storefront, through the embedded Black Saints catalog widget. At the moment of checkout, the transaction is split automatically:
- The partner's markup — the difference between wholesale cost and the retail price the partner set — is retained by the partner.
- The wholesale cost of the key or seat is settled to Black Saints as part of the same checkout, via Stripe Connect. There is no separate invoice to chase for a standard one-time key purchase — settlement happens per order, automatically.
Accepted payment methods
- Direct buyers pay with the card and wallet methods enabled on Black Saints' own Stripe-powered checkout, right on the software category page.
- End customers of a wholesale reseller pay with the card and wallet methods enabled on the partner's own Stripe-powered checkout.
- Partners settle wholesale cost through the same Stripe Connect flow — no manual wire transfers or ACH setup is required to place standard orders.
Subscription seats (Microsoft 365)
Microsoft 365 seats are CSP-sourced and billed on a recurring monthly cycle rather than as a one-time key. For this product type, wholesale settlement follows the same monthly cadence as the underlying CSP subscription, reconciled through the Partner Portal's Orders and Settlements views rather than as a single point-of-sale charge.
Currency and taxes
All pricing in this category is quoted in USD. For a direct order, Black Saints is the seller of record and is responsible for collecting and remitting any tax owed under its own Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit. For a wholesale reseller order, the partner is the seller of record to their own end customer and is responsible for collecting and remitting any sales or use tax owed on that retail transaction under their own State Sales and Use Tax Permit — the permit required to be approved for wholesale access in the first place.
Pricing visibility
Wholesale cost for every product in this category is visible to approved partners in the Partner Portal before it is ever shown to an end customer. Nothing in this category is priced dynamically at checkout — the cost a partner sees when setting their markup is the cost that settles.
