Privacy Policy

Black Saints LLC ("Black Saints," "we," "us") operates Black Saints Direct, which has two parts: a wholesale ordering platform for approved resellers, and a retail storefront where members of the public and businesses can buy directly from Black Saints. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it in both. Sections 1 and 2 describe wholesale applicants, partners and partner widgets; the retail storefront is described in section 2A.

1. Information we collect from partners and applicants

When a business applies for wholesale access at /apply.html, we collect: business identifying information (legal name, DBA, EIN, structure, revenue band, website); contact and address details for the applicant and its authorized signer; the State Sales and Use Tax Permit number, issuing state, and the permit document itself, which we store separately from public site files and only Black Saints staff signed in to the Admin Panel can retrieve; and, at the point of application, the email verification code exchange, a short human-verification answer, and — if you go on to execute the Wholesale Partner Agreement — the exact document version you accepted, your typed signature name, and the timestamp, IP address, and browser/device string recorded at that moment. That execution record exists to document your consent to contract electronically, consistent with the Texas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, and a copy is made available to you to download.

Retention. For an approved partner, we keep this information for as long as the wholesale relationship continues and for at least four years afterward, to meet tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations consistent with typical Texas recordkeeping practice. For an application that is declined, withdrawn, or never completed, we expect to delete or anonymize it within 12 months, other than a minimal record needed to enforce a rate limit or investigate suspected abuse of the application process. Permit documents for declined applications are deleted on the same schedule.

2. Information collected through the widget

When an end customer places an order through a partner's embedded catalog, we collect the order details (products, quantities, pricing) and the shipping information needed to fulfill that order. Payment is handled by the partner's own connected payment processor; Black Saints does not store full card numbers.

2A. Information collected through the retail storefront

When you buy from the retail storefront, Black Saints is the seller. We collect the contact, billing and shipping details you enter, the items you order, and the payment and tax information needed to charge you, ship to you and keep our tax and accounting records. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. Order and tax records are kept as described in section 5. Browsing the shop without buying does not require an account. While you shop, your cart is also saved as described in section 6.

3. How we use information

We use this information to verify partner eligibility, operate the catalog and order API, fulfill orders, settle payments between Black Saints and partners, and communicate about accounts and orders. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing

We share information with service providers that help us operate the platform (such as payment processing and shipping) only as needed to provide the service, and as required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain partner and order records for as long as needed to operate the platform, meet tax and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Black Saints Direct does not run advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or any third-party technology that follows you across other websites, and we do not sell or share personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. The browser-based storage this site uses is local storage (a client-side technology similar to a cookie, but not sent back to our servers automatically), for three narrow purposes: keeping you signed in to the Partner Portal or Admin Panel once you've logged in, remembering that you've already seen and dismissed the wholesale-pricing signup prompt on our homepage so it doesn't keep reappearing, and, in the Black Saints Direct shop, holding your cart and a random code for it. Because that cart is also saved on our server under the code (items and quantities only; no name, email, address or account is attached to it, and a cart is linked to an order only when you check out), we can count how many carts are left unfinished. What happens to a saved cart depends on how it ends. If you empty your cart, use "Forget my saved cart" in the Privacy Choices panel, or send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal (in which case it is not saved at all), the items, the code and the counts are removed from the server at once; only an empty placeholder with its dates remains. If a cart is simply left, then after 30 days without activity we remove its items and the code that identified it (that is the removal, so it can no longer be looked up or tied to your browser), but we keep a de-identified summary for reporting: the number of lines and units, the potential value, the dates, and, if you went on to start a checkout, a link to that checkout, which we hold under our order records as described in section 5. A de-identified summary is retained and is not deleted on that schedule. This site also loads type fonts directly from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address as part of delivering those font files; that request is governed by Google's own privacy practices, not this policy.

You can review what this site stores in your browser, clear it, and find instructions for managing cookies and site data in your browser using the Privacy Choices panel available from the tab on the right edge of any page on this site. Because we don't operate advertising or tracking cookies here, there is no "sale" or "sharing" of your information to opt out of, and we don't track you across sites. Apart from the shop cart described above, which honors a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal by not being saved, we don't respond differently to that signal.

7. Your choices

Partners can request a copy of, or correction to, the information we hold about their business by contacting us. End customers who bought through a partner's widget should contact that partner, who is the seller of record; if you bought from the Black Saints Direct retail storefront, contact us at info@blacksaints.co. You can also review and clear the browser storage this site uses through the Privacy Choices panel described above.

8. Text messaging (SMS)

If you provide a mobile phone number when applying for wholesale access or setting up two-factor authentication, we may send you SMS text messages containing one-time verification codes and related account security alerts. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can decline phone-based verification at any time — an authenticator app remains available as an alternative for account sign-in. We do not use your mobile number for marketing messages, and we do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in status with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect the information described in this policy, including restricting access to permit documents and application data to Black Saints staff who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you send us.

10. Children's privacy

Black Saints Direct, including its retail storefront, is intended for use by adults, and its wholesale platform is for adults acting on behalf of a business. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@blacksaints.co and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Black Saints Direct after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
